When it came time to pay bills, my husband and I would argue and yell at each other because we never seemed to have the money needed to pay our bills. Money is the root of all evil. My husband and I fought more over "being poor" than we did anything else. We would point fingers and ask each other questions like "why did you spend this money?" "what are we going to do about food or daycare for the next week before payday?" Those types of questions make for a hard marriage.
